The Air Jordan 3 "Chlorophyll" is a special edition of the third Air Jordan that pays tribute to another Nike sneaker that was also designed by Tinker Hatfield. The light grey, white, black, and green color scheme is a reference to the original Air Trainer 1, the cross-training model that ushered in a whole new category of footwear after it debuted in 1987 — one year before Hatfield’s Air Jordan 3 was released. The Air Jordan 3 "Chlorophyll" is part of a “Tinker Hatfield” pack of Air Jordan retros that released in 2018 featuring recognizable colorways of other landmark models designed by Hatfield in the late 1980s and early ‘90s.
