The Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro "Philly" is the modern re-release of an original colorway of Kobe Bryant’s fourth signature shoe with Nike Basketball that pays homage to Bryant’s connections to the East Coast city. Inspired by both Bryant’s father, Joe Bryant, who played for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1970s and Bryant himself, who attended Lower Merion High School in Philadelphia in the 1990s, the “Philly” Nike Kobe 4 Protro features a red, white, and blue color block. The shoe’s base is designed in Varsity Royal while its Flywire cables appear in white. A white and red Swoosh is seen on the sides. Bryant’s signature is located on the heel. A tonal star graphic on the collar completes the look. The Kobe 4 “Philly” was originally released in 2009 before it was reissued in Summer 2024.
